IPL 2019: Ex-Delhi batsman Manhas confirmed RCB assistant coach

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli will have his former Delhi Ranji Trophy teammate Mithun Manhas as an assistant coach for the Indian Premier League Season 12.

The RCB has confirmed the appointment of Manhas, who has represented Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, as an assistant coach for the upcoming season.

Manhas join another Delhi teammate Ashish Nehra and former India coach Gary Kirsten in the RCB think tank. Nehra too has been engaged as an assistant coach, who is primarily focusing on sharpening the team’s bowling attack.

Kirsten was earlier confirmed as the head coach. Manhas will be assisting the former Proteas batsman and coach.   now set to take up the role of assistant coach under Kirsten.

Manhas as a player has represented Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. He later joined the Jammu & Kashmir team for the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy season before being named in the coaching staff of KXIP. The Delhi and ONGC cricketer hails from the Jammu and Kashmir State.
