Star Sports, the official broadcaster of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 has recently introduced ‘Voting on Google Search’, an exclusive voting partnership with Google that integrated technology into the cricketing experience for fans.

This partnership gave millions of fans across the country a platform to voice their opinion on their favorite cricketer and show support for their favorite team. With the increasing popularity of this newly-launched platform, more than 1.5 million fans have already cast their vote for their favourite players – teams.

Fans can simply show support for their favorite team and vote for their favorite cricketer using a Google Assistant-enabled device by saying, ‘Ok Google, talk to VIVO IPL and vote’ or by searching for ‘VIVO IPL Vote’ on Google search bar. The platform was launched with preseason voting where people chose their favorite between M.S. Dhoni and Virat Kohli. After the season started on 23rd March, daily voting was conducted for teams and players, and will continue until the end of VIVO IPL 2019.







How it works: Google Vote for VIVO IPL has a new question every day for the fans to cast their vote which is based on the day’s match.
