Both three-time champions of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will now be eyeing their fourth IPL title while the revamped Delhi Capitals have managed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2012. Also, SRH have booked a playoff spot for the fourth consecutive season and now will aim to clinch their second IPL title.

Mumbai Indians registered their spot in the playoff by knocking out KKR in the 56th match of this season at the league stages matches, now MI will lock their horns with the MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1.

Sunrisers Hyderabad benefited from the KKR last night defeat in MI vs KKR match as they marched into the playoff with only 12 points and will now face the Delhi Capitals in Eliminator 1.

Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have already been knocked out off the tournament.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, which finished last on the points table managed to get 11 points which is the most amassed by the bottom-ranked team in an IPL season.

Here is the playoffs Schedule for IPL 2019:

May 7: Qualifier 1 – Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings – MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai – 19:30 IST

May 8: Eliminator – Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam – 19:30 IST

May 10: Qualifier 2 – Loser of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator – ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam – 19:30 IST

The final will be played on May 12 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

The Indian Premier League Season 12 (IPL 2019) will be broadcast live in eight languages, including Hindi and English, across nearly twenty Star India Network screens –

The match will also be streamed live on Star’s OTT platform Hotstar.
