IPL 2020: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly reached Sharjah on Monday took stock of conditions of the IPL venue. The first match will be played at the Sharjah Stadium on September 22 between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. RR will be opening their campaign while it will be the second match for MS Dhoni-led CSK.
Ganguly had landed in UAE on September 9 to inspect oversee preparations of the bio-secure bubble.
Ganguly was accompanied with IPL Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel & Interim CEO of BCCI Hemang Amin. Dada who last played in Sharjah in year 2000 was visiting the stadium after 20 long years in a completely different capacity.
The BCCI president looked satisfied on the preparations of the ground for the first game of IPL 2020 in Sharjah on 22nd September
Indian Premier League’s 13th edition will start from September 19 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Chennai Super Kings will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians.
