“I am just amazed at this young kid Ruturaj. I have obviously been in touch with him the whole time I have been here. He tested positive to COVID, then had to be moved away from the team hotel into another hotel. It must have been really hard on this young guy, he just wants to get out and play some cricket,” Hussey said.
Michael also talks about his calm and positive attitude he showed while he was tested positive
“Every single time I was talking to him or I was messaging him, he was just so calm and taking roll in his stride, staying positive and I was like what an amazing kid to have that kind of attitude. When he finally got to play, we were so happy for him. You could see the massive smile on his face to be out there. Rayudu was very late out of the match. He had only two net sessions. We were worried about him, thinking he might be a little underdone but again there was no stress, no panic, he said I am just going to enjoy it. I think he has a wonderful outlook for the game,” he added
