Josh Philippe (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
The talented right-handed wicket-keeper rose to fame as a part of the Sydney Sixers that won the 2019 BBL and played a huge role in their success. He could very well be a steal deal for the RCB if he delivers, after the franchise bought him at his base price.
With a handy average of over 33 and a strike rate of 138, Philippe has scored close to 800 runs thus far in the BBL. Nearly 500 of these runs came in the latest edition, which shows the form that the 22-year-old is currently in.
An explosive top-order batsman like Philippe would fit right in to the RCB lineup and would give them a boost right at the top of the order.
Ishan Porel (Kings XI Punjab)
Right-arm Bengal pacer Ishan Porel was a revelation at the previous edition of the U-19 World Cup.
Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) bought Ishan’s services for INR 20 lakh (base price) in the 2020 IPL auction. While he is improving with the time progress, KXIP can utilise him in the IPL 2020.
The 21-years-old coupled with his pace, accuracy, a mean bouncer and toe-crushing yorker, Porel can run through any batting lineup on his day.
Tom Banton (Kolkata Knight Riders)
Tom Banton has been the talk of the town due to his performances in the domestic circuit. He made his T20I debut for England in November 2019. His quickfire maiden T20 fifty against Pakistan also gives a testament of the fireworks he can produce.
Previously, Brisbane Heat signed him for the Big Bash League and he was also drafted by Peshawar Zalmi for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) before being bought by KKR for IPL 2020.
His fierce and stylish batting has helped him land exclusive deals with franchises across various T20 leagues. He is seen as a destructive top-order batsman who can gather quick runs, especially in the power play, which acts as a foundation for teams to chase down or set any score.
Ravi Bishnoi (Kings XI Punjab)
Ravi Bishnoi is considered as India’s next spin wizard in the country. In fact, many compare Bishnoi to that of Indian Legend Anil Kumble. He’s got a quick bowling action and picks majority of his wickets off skidding deliveries.
Bishnoi finished as the highest wicket in the 2019 U-19 World Cup and often provided India major breakthroughs at crucial stages with economical spells. The leg-spinning wizard was bought by Kings XI Punjab in the IPL auction for this season for ₹2 crores and will be under the watchful eyes of India’s leading wicket-taker in tests Anil Kumble.
