IPL 2020 KKR vs MI head-to-head: Know these Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians stats before making your fantasy team

Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians are all set to go hammers and tongs on Wednesday at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Dinesh Karthik’s KKR will be playing their season opener, while Rohit Sharma’s MI will be eyeing for a comeback after a loss in the first match against Chennai Super Kings. 

Both the teams have met 25 times since the inception Indian Premier League. In the head-to-head clash, Mumbai Indians lead with 19 wins, while Kolkata has just six.

It shows that Mumbai have an edge over their Kolkata rivals. But wait, before you start you need to consider the current situation too.

Had it been the normal season, Mumbai had a better chance, but given the extraordinary conditions, it will all come down to which team is ‘fit’.

One thing that KKR is better and MI is struggling is the bowling attack. The four-time champion’s,  strike bowler Jasprit Bumrah looked rusty and low on confidence in the first match. The only good thing that happened for MI was Trent Boult’s good form.

Kolkata, on the other side, boast the pace attack of Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Lockie Ferguson — who can hit 145kmph regularly. Put mystery spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the mix and voila, a deadly bowling department which can give nightmares to batsmen.
