The Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) got rocked by coronavirus on Friday as 13 members of Chennai Super Kings squad tested positive. Though BCCI officially refused to divulge the names of the 2 IPL players who tested Covid-19 positive.
According to the murmurs coming from CSK camp made it clear that one of those players was CSK’S fast bowling unit central figure Deepak Chahar. Chahar currently is under quarantine for the next 14 days.
The CSK pacer is now wished by his cousin brother Rahul Chahar who is currently in Abu Dhabi with the Mumbai Indians squad. In a curiously worded message on Twitter MI leg-spinner Chahar has wished “speedy recovery” and said he hoped Deepak would “get well soon” without divulging what exactly his brother is suffering from.

Chahar’s sister Malti Chahar also has a message of speedy recovery for her brother on instagram. “You are a true warrior, born to fight. Day is brighter after the darkest night. May you come out stronger than ever before. With love & prayers, waiting to see you roar,” Malti Chahar had posted on Instagram on Saturday.
Deepak has been central to Super Kings’ attack in the past couple of seasons, often bowling in the powerplay and in the slog overs. Coming off an injury – he last played competitive cricket in December 2019 – Deepak was part of Super Kings’camp in Chennai, along with captain MS Dhoni, Raina, M Vijay, Ambati Rayudu, Piyush Chawla and L Balaji, the bowling coach, before flying out to the UAE.
