Chennai Super Kings opener Faf du Plessis continues to don the Orange Cap as he leads the run chart with 173 runs in his kitty, while Sunrisers Hyderabad Manish Pandey is now the fifth leading run-scorer after he smashed a half-century against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday.
Faf hit 43 off 35 balls against Delhi Capitals on Friday to go on top of the list of leading run-scorers in IPL 2020.
Also, in the opening match of the season against Mumbai Indians on Saturday, he played a crucial 58 off 44 balls innings to help the team secure a five-wicket win.
The South African batsman continued his good form in the second match too. On Tuesday, against RR, the South African batsman scored 71 runs. He was the highest scorer of the night.
Faf is followed by KXIP skipper KL Rahul, who was on fire on Thursday as he smashed an unbeaten century against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The 28-year-old batsman smashed 132* off just 69 balls to register his second century in IPL.
Meanwhile, Kings XI Punjab batsman Mayank Agarwal is placed at the 3rd spot with 115 runs from two games. MI skipper Rohit Sharma is fourth on the IPL 2020 Orange Cap list after hitting 80 off 54 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday. The opener now has 92 runs from two matches at an average of 46 including one half-century.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals pacer Kagiso Rabada becomes the latest Purple Cap holder after he bagged three wickets in the match against Chennai Super Kings on Friday in Indian Premier League 2020.
The South African now has 5 wickets in two games. The pacer has a strike rate of 9.60 and an economy rate of 6.75.
