IPL 2020 Orange Cap : Mayank Agarwal becomes new Orange cap holder, captain Rahul pushed down

Mayank Agarwal has snatched the Orange Cap from his captain KL Rahul. and Royal Challengers Bangalore spinner Yuzvendra Chahal became the latest Purple Cap holder on Saturday as he bagged three wickets against Rajasthan Royals in the Match no.15 of Indian Premier League 2020.

Chahal dismissed RR batsmen Sanju SamsonRobin Uthappa and Mahipal Lomror in his allotted four overs of the game.

Overall, the wrist spinner has bagged 8 wickets in four matches of IPL 2020 and he is on top of the Purple Cap holder list with an economy of 7.18.

Chahal is followed by Kings XI Punjab spinner Mohammad Shami, who also has 8 wickets in his kitty and an economy rate of 7.86.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals’ pacer Kagiso Rabada is third on the list with 7 wickets to his name, while Mumbai Indians spinner Rahul Chahar and KXIP pacer Sheldon Cottrell are fourth and fifth on the list respectively.

Mayank Agarwal has snatched the Orange Cap from his captain KL Rahul. After the completion of 13th match of IPL 2020, Mayank is now the highest run-scorer in IPL 2020 with 246 runs from three games. Rahul has now been pushed to second spot with 239 runs @ average 79.66. The new entry in the top 5 list is Rohit Sharma who was on a record-breaking spree against KXIP on Friday night. Rohit not only competed his 5000 runs on the night but also has moved to 4th place in the Orange Cap Race with 170 runs with a average of 42.5. 
Sanju Samson after a rare failure against Kolkata Knight RIDERS on Thursday has fallen to fifth place in the Orange Cap table.

KingsXI Punjab pacer Mohammad Shami has take once again taken top place in the IPL 2020 Purple Cap race. In the match against Mumbai Indian Shami took the wicket of …… to displace Delhi Capitals pacer Kagiso Rabada from the top position. 

The South African pacer has picked seven wickets so far in IPL 2013 and now is behind Shami. In the third place is Chennai Super Kings all rounder Sam Curran who currently has five wickets from 3 games followed by Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB) and Trent Boult of Mumbai Indians.

Talking about the points table then, Delhi Capitals are leading the chart, while KKR are now second on the points table and RR acquire third place. Delhi Capitals took back the top in IPL 2020 Points Table as Rajasthan Royals suffered their first loss of IPL 2020 to Kolkata Knight Riders by 37 runs on Wednesday. The win saw KKR move to second spot on the points table, while RR slipped to third position.

Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore is fourth on the chart, while Kings XI Punjab with 1 victory from 3 games is in the 5th place in the latest points table standings of IPL 2020.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians are sixth currently, while Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings are at seventh and eighth position respectively.
