With only two games left, the Dream11 IPL 2020 playoff race has turned up to be an intriguing affair. While Mumbai Indians have already qualified for the playoffs, three teams- Chennai Super Kings, KingsXI Punjab & Rajasthan Royals has crashed out of the IPL playoff race after Sunday.
Thus, tonight’s contest between DC vs RCB will potentially serve as a virtual qualifier. And interestingly not 1 but 2 teams can seal a playoffs berth depending on the fate of tonight’s results. Check how ?

IPL 2020 : Second Playoff Qualifier will finalize tonite : The winner of IPL 2020 clash between Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore will become the second team to book the IPL 2020 playoff spot. Whichever team wins today will go to 16 points and will clash with Mumbai Indians on Thursday 5th November
IPL 2020 : Third Playoff Qualifier will also finalize tonite : The third playoff qualifier will also be decided today. Either that team will be Kolkata Knight Riders or the team which loses DC vs RCB clash. Whichever team ends with better NRR will qualify for playoffs.
Reason – Out of 3 remaining teams (KKR, SRH & Loser of DC-RCB match up) – 2 teams with the best NRR will have to qualify. One will be decided today & other will have to wait for Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Played 13, Points 14, NRR -0.145 Remaining match: vs Capitals
RCB now play DC. If they win they qualify as No.2 team
If they lose they can still qualify – provided they have a better run-rate than KKR
If Bangalore score 160, they need to make sure Delhi take at least 17.3 overs to chase it down. In case Bangalore is bowling first and concedes 160, they lose by at most 21 runs to keep their NRR ahead of Knight Riders .
Delhi Capitals: Played 13, Points 14, NRR -0.159 Remaining match: vs Royal Challengers
DC need to win against RCB to qualify.
If they win they qualify as No.2 team
If they lose they can still qualify – provided they have a better run-rate than KKR. If Delhi score 160, they need to make sure Bangalore take at least 18 overs to chase it down. In case Delhi is bowling first and concede 160, they should lose by at most 18 runs to keep their NRR ahead of Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders: Played 14 Points 14, NRR -0.214
KKR can only qualify if SRH loses to Mumbai Indians or their NRR is better than loser of RCB-DC match.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Played 13, Points 12, NRR 0.555 Remaining match: vs Mumbai
Sunrisers can qualify for playoff by now winning against Mumbai Indians in their last match.
Superior NRR will take them through to playoffs if they win against MI
However, if they lose, they will crash out.
