IPL 2020: Rahul Tewatia’s magic; Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh floored

Yes, Sanju Samson was adjudged the man of the match but it was Rahul Tewatia who stole the limelight against Kings XI Punjab. Promoted at No.4, the left-hand batsmen five sixes in Sheldon Cotrell’s over became the gamechanger for RR who were chasing a big total of 224 runs. Tewatia’s onslaught in UAE had floored many cricketing legends including Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh.

Sachin took to Twitter and appreciated Steve Smith, Sanju Samson and Tewatia’s performance and wrote: “Terrific batting by @rajasthanroyals’ batsmen Smith, Sanju & Tewatia to chase this mega total. They kept their cool and accelerated beautifully. Surprised how the@lionsdenkxip fast bowlers didn’t bowl many yorkers and also failed to use M Ashwin enough”.

Yuvraj who had hit six sixes in Stuart Broad’s over at 2007 T20 World Cup against England, thanked the RR batsman for missing one ball. “Mr  @rahultewatia02na bhai na Smiling face with open mouth and cold sweat thanks for missing one ball ! What a game congratulations to RR for a spectacular win!!!” he wrote.

Rajasthan are now placed second in IPL 2020 points table with two wins in two games. They will face Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday. The match will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
