IPL 2020 RCB vs MI: Can Virat Kohli and De Villiers click against MI’s pace battery?

It’s going to be Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma tonight in Match No 10 of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). Dubbed as the clash of titans, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on 4 times IPL winner Mumbai Indians in what promises to be a high-octane encounter.

However, a pressing concern for RCB will be the performance of their marquee batsman- Virat Kohli and AB De Villers.

Can Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers get firing against MI’s pace laden attack?

Both the batsman has been exemplary for the franchise but has struggled to find runs with the willow for some time now. Virat Kohli who had an excellent 2016 season amassing 640 runs- his highest in one season has looked a pale shadow of his former self. VK managed to score 4 fifties in 2018, which was reduced by half in the last edition. In this season so far, the RCB leader has failed to get going managing scores of 14 and 1 in the two matches played.

AB De Villiers have looked in decent touch but will face an uphill task against MI’s pace laden attack comprising the likes of- Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult & James Pattinson.
