IPL 2020 SRH vs DC: Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner, who is celebrating his 34th birthday on Tuesday, was in his elements against Delhi Capitals as he slammed 66 runs off just 34 balls in the match no. 47 of Indian Premier League 2020.
In the process, Warner completed his half-century in just 25 balls and he is the only player in IPL 2020 to complete his fifty inside powerplay as he reached the mark in sixth over of the SRH innings.
Interestingly, Warner didn’t even spare the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2020 Kagiso Rabada as he smashed 22 runs off his over which included 4 boundaries and a six.
Overall, the Australian scored 66, which is also his highest score in this season, before he was removed by DC’s top spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the 10th over.
Also, Warner is now third in the Orange Cap tally with 436 runs in his kitty.
Earlier, DC skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Notably, it’s a do or die match for SRH as they will be knocked out of the tournament if they lose the game. They have eight points from 11 games. A win will keep them alive in the playoffs race.
On the other hand, Delhi will seal the playoffs berth if they beat SRH.
