RCB beat MI IPL 2021: AB de Villiers, Harshal Patel led RCB to a 2-wicket win in the opener after Rohit Sharma's MI posted 159

AB de Villiers again proved to the world what a gem of a player cricketing fraternity has missed in international cricket in the last couple of years as he powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to 7-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in the match no. 33 of Indian Premier League 2020 on Saturday.

With RCB needing 35 runs to win in the last two overs of the game, De Villiers was simply outstanding and played a one of its kind knock in Dubai to steal the victory.

The 36-year-old first tore apart Jaydev Unadkat, who bowled the 19th over, with three consecutive sixes on first three balls of the over and then he smashed a six off ferocious Jofra Archer’s fourth delivery in the last over when his team required five to win on three balls.

de Villiers found support in Gurkeerat Singh Mannon on the other end as he hit a boundary in the penultimate over to ease of the pressure on ADB.

However, it was purely de Villier’s class which sealed the deal for RCB as he thrashed unbeaten 55 off just 22 balls at a whopping strike rate of 250 and his innings included 6 sixes and a boundary.
