IPL 2020:’Thala’ MS Dhoni is back! Can he lead CSK to 4th IPL title in the absence of key players?

With just two days left for the start of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), all eyes will be on MS Dhoni, for this is the first time in a year that the former India captain will return to competitive cricket. With Dhoni having announced his retirement from international cricket last month, the IPL is the only platform where fans will get to see their favourite cricketer in action.
Dhoni, who surprised everyone with his decision to call it quits from international cricket in mid-August, will be back in action when he leads Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
CSK will take on defending champion Mumbai Indians in the lung-opener of the league in Abu Dhabi on September 19.
CSK devoid of key players
Three-time IPL winners will be devoid of the services of experienced batsman Harbhajan Singh and batsman Suresh Raina. In their absence, the management had to formulate alternative plans to field a balanced lineup.

As CSK will not have the services of Hazlewood and Curran as well in the opening game, South African Lungi Ngidi will surely make it to the CSK playing11. Deepak Chahar who has now fully recovered from Covid-19 along with Shardul Thakur will be the other pace bowling options in the playing 11 for CSK.
Bravo now will become the most important cog in the wheel for CSK as he will not only be expected to give solidity to the batting in the absence of Suresh Raina but will also have to play a crucial role with his four overs.
