IPL 2021 Auctions: 3 players on KXIP’s radar at IPL 2021 auctions: IPL teams have started their preparation for the season with their squad building. Kings XI Punjab had another disappointing outing in the IPL last term as the Mohali-based franchise failed to qualify for the playoffs of the tournament for the sixth successive season.
While KXIP can spend over 50 crores during the IPL 2021 auction, they have a total of nine available slots, including five overseas slots. So, there is no doubt that they will put major money for the foreigners during the upcoming IPL 2021 auction.
- Chris Morris: Kings XI Punjab currently have no proper all-rounders. So, it will be their first target during the forthcoming IPL 2021 auction. The all-rounder slots can also help them to cover their middle-order batting issues. Morris picked up 11 wickets in 9 matches for RCB last season as a bowling all rounder.
- Shakib Al-Hasan: Bangladeshi all-rounder, Shakib al Hasan, who missed the last edition of the tournament with a ban, has recently made his return to international cricket. The 33-year-old has played 63 games in his IPL career so far, scoring 746 runs at an average of 21.31. His numbers with the ball are decent as well, with 59 wickets.
- Umesh Yadav: The right-arm fast bowler Umesh Yadav can be a best pace bowling partner with Mohammed Shami in the KXIP squad. As Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) recently released him, KXIP can go for Umesh Yadav in the IPL 2021 auction. Umesh has 119 wickets in 121 IPL matches.
