Dinesh Karthik (Kolkata Knight Riders)
KKR batsman Dinesh Karthik has scored 3946 runs in 203 IPL matches at a strike rate of nearly 30. He will become the first player from the franchise to achieve the landmark. He has also slammed 100+ sixes in the cash-rich T20 league. Karthik had managed to just score 123 runs during the second phase of IPL 2021. He needs to step up his role in the remaining fixtures if KKR eyes a place in the playoffs.
Ajinkya Rahane (Delhi Capitals)
Delhi Capitals batsman Ajinkya Rahane can use the opportunity to shut his critics. He is in a lean patch and needs a turnaround. Rahane is just 59 runs away from completing 4000 runs in the IPL. He has smashed a couple of centuries and 28 fifties in the tournament. Rahane might get limited opportunities during the IPL 2021 Phase 2 but even one inning would be enough to help him achieve the feat of 4000 runs.
Ambati Rayudu (Chennai Super Kings)
CSK batsman Ambati Rayudu is also on the verge of completing 4000 runs in IPL. He has scored 3795 runs in 166 matches which include 20 fifties and a century. After managing just 137 runs in the first 7 matches, he needs to pull up his shocks during the UAE leg of IPL 2021. Rayudu can play a key role for CSK in helping them lift their fourth IPL trophy.
