IPL 2021: This is the last series for both India and England players before they join their respective IPL franchises for the upcoming IPL 2021 auction. However, there are some IPL superstars who have not lived up to their name in the ongoing series. Here are five IPL superstars who have failed in Ind vs Eng series.

5 IPL superstars who have failed in Ind vs Eng series

Ben Stokes (Rajasthan Royals)
Stokes has not been at his in red-ball cricket against India. Across five innings his scores are 82, 7, 18, 8 and 6. The all-rounder has failed to tackle India’s spin maestro Ashwin and this will be something all the IPL franchise will be keeping an eye on.

Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)
Buttler was part of the 1st Test playing XI but failed to produce fruitful innings in Chennai. He scored 30 and 24 in the first Test. Since then he was replaced by Ben Foakes. Buttler will need to pull up his socks if he wants to make it to the playing XI in Rajasthan who are now under new management.

Ajinkya Rahane (Delhi Capitals)
Rahane continues to struggle with the bat. Ever since his inspiring century against Australia in Melbourne, he has not been able to replicate it the same. He has been under a lot of criticism for inconsistent performance.

Washington Sundar (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Sundar was one of the heroes of the Indian team in the Gabba victory against Australia. But he has failed to carry the same form back home. Although he did produce a splendid 85 run knock, he was one of the biggest failures in the bowling department. Skipper Virat Kohli openly expressed his disappointment with Sundar’s bowling performance. He was rested in the second Test.

Jonny Bairstow (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
It might be too soon to judge the SRH batsman as he missed the first two Tests, he still could not inspire England in the third Test. The wicketkeeper-batsman was foxed by Axar Patel for a golden duck.
