Harshal Patel (RCB)
The Royal Challengers Bangalore took everyone by storm by picking up as many as 17 wickets for the Virat Kohli-led franchise. He was on top of the Purple Cap race and helped RCB win 5 out of 7 matches in IPL 2021 phase 1. The cricketer was bought by RCB for Rs 20 lakh in the auctions but has delivered like a million-dollar player.
Avesh Khan (DC)
Delhi Capitals pacer Avesh Khan was the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL 2021. He took 14 wickets in 8 matches at an impressive economy rate of 7.7 to help Delhi jump to the top of the IPL 2021 points table with 6 wins in 8 matches. He was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 70 lakh in the year 2018 and since then has continued to play under that price tag.
Ruturaj Gaikwad (CSK)
Despite failing to do well, Ruturaj Gaikwad delivered for Chennai Super Kings after getting enough opportunities. He scored a couple of match-winning innings and shared three-fifty partnerships with Faf du Plessis. He went on to score 196 runs in 7 matches. The youngster was roped in by CSK for Rs 20 lakh but his salary doubled to Rs 40 lakh. The amount does not match his performance.
Devdutt Padikkal (RCB)
Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Devudtt Padikkal continued from where he left of in IPL last year. He added 195 runs in 6 matches for RCB at an average of 39, which included a century. The 20-year-old was roped in by RCB for Rs 20 lakh.
The Punjab Kings vice-captain once again continued to impress in IPL for the second consecutive season. He amassed 260 runs in 7 innings which included 99 not out. Besides this, he also stepped up to lead the franchise in absence of KL Rahul. The cricketer was purchased for Rs 1 crore.
