IPL 2021: SRH’s David Warner fitness during quarantine: Sunrisers Hyderabad former skipper David Warner, who reunited with the team on September 10 in UAE, is currently undergoing mandatory six-day quarantine. During the same, the top-order batsman aims to attain fitness ahead of the commencement of the second phase of IPL 2021. It is worth noting that the Australian player last played a cricket match in April for SRH during the first leg of the cash-rich league in India. Since then, the left-handed batsman hasn’t featured in any form of cricket.

During the ongoing quarantine, the 34-year-old shared a small video with the fans. In his room, he was seen doing shadow practise with the bat and accelerating the foot movements.

Hours prior to this post, he has also shared his picture as he undertook fitness in his room. Warner joined the team at SRH hotel- Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights on Friday.

IPL 2021: David Warner’s performance in first Phase

The left-handed batsman showcased fine performance with the willow in the first leg of the tournament before it was abruptly called off following the Covid outbreak. In the six innings he played for the side, he aggregated 193 runs and returned with a fine average of 32.16. Though he failed miserably in leading his side, Warner had a fine show with the bat.

SRH fixtures for IPL 2021 second phase

The first phase of the tournament didn’t go well for SRH. In the seven matches they played, the team managed to win just one match. With just two points under their belt, they were at the rock bottom of the points table before the tournament was called off in May.
