IPL 2021: Amit Mishra's thumbs up for neutral venue; says

IPL 2021: India’s most successful bowler in IPL history Amit Mishra who is currently part of Delhi Capitals(DC) feels doing away with home advantage will be good for all teams and players alike.

“The question of home advantage should be done away with and this decision is a good step in the right direction. No team should have any unfair advantage. I fully endorse and am happy with this move. The whole India is our home and playing anywhere in India should be welcomed,” Amit Mishra told Inside Sport on Sunday soon after the full itinerary of 14th edition of IPL was announced by the BCCI on Sunday.

Mishra said playing in one city in a Caravan style will actually help in every aspect. “Travelling time, expenses, energy everything will be saved. We players will get rest and be able to bring out the best in us. Also the risk of getting injected with Covid 19 will decrease. All in all its the best decision in every aspect and I am glad that such a decision was taken.”

Amit Mishra is the 2nd highest wicket taker (after Lasith Malinga) in IPL history with 160 wickets
