IPL 2021: Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur reveals she was madly in love with RCB captain Virat Kohli – Team India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has a fan base all around the world. Right from budding cricketers to Bollywood actresses are big admirers of Run-Machine Virat Kohli. In fact, he fell in love and got married to Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma. Another actress named Mrunal Thakur recently expressed that once she was madly in love with Virat Kohli.

IPL 2021: She said that she loves cricket and credited her brother for it. She also recalled watching a live match with her brother and cheering for the Indian cricket team. 

In an interview with a leading daily, Mrunal said, “There was a time when I was madly in love with Virat Kohli. I started liking cricket because of my brother who’s a big fan. I have fond memories of watching a match live at a stadium with him around five years ago. I remember I was wearing a blue jersey and cheering for team India. Cut to today, I am part of a cricket-based film like Jersey. It is such a happy coincidence.”

Mrunal is currently working on a movie related to cricket featuring Shadid Kapoor. The name of the movie is Jersey which is a remake of the Telugu film. 

Meanwhile, Kohli’s Team India is riding high on confidence after claiming two historic Test wins at Lord’s in the second Test against England and at Oval in the fourth Test of the five-match Test series. Team India is leading the series 2-1 at the moment with one Test match to go. England will aim to level the series with a win at Old Trafford while Virat Kohli’s side has a bigger task in hand of defeating England at their fortress. India and England have faced each other nine times at The Old Trafford, Manchester, India have not managed to win a single Test in it.

Later, he will be leading Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021 phase 2. RCB is ranked 3rd in the points table after winning five out of seven games in the first phase.
