Total IPL Salary – Rs.42.9 crore

South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris was the top buy at the IPL 2021 Player Auction when he was sold to the RR for a whopping Rs.16.25 cr. Morris is best known for his ability to bowl yorkers in the death overs, and being able to clear the boundary as a finisher. The teams went berserk after the season campaigner and it was Rajasthan Royals who managed to rope him in.

  1. Kyle Jamieson

IPL 2021 Salary – Rs 15 Crore
IPL 2021 Team – Royal Challengers Bangalore

The young, 6’8 tall Kiwi all-rounder was making his IPL auction debut on Feb 18th and he had a dream debut as he became the costliest Kiwi ever to feature in the Indian Premier League. He made a name for himself in the test cricket and has been touted as the next big all-rounder to the world of cricket. Even the former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir couldn’t hold back himself and said before the auctions that Kyle Jamieson will be the next big thing in IPL, and the franchises gave a glimpse of that on Feb 18th, at the auctions table.

  1. Glenn Maxwell

IPL 2021 Salary – Rs 14.25 Crore
IPL 2021 Team – Royal Challengers Bangalore
Total IPL Salary – Rs.63.4 crore

KXIP broke the bank in the IPL 2020 auction to sign star Australian all-rounder Glen Maxwell for Rs 10.75 crore. This year it was Royal Challengers Bangalore who broke their purse and relentlessly went after the Aussie. RCB were determined to strengthen their core of all-rounders as they were lacking behind in this key department. The 31-year-old is a big match-winner who is renowned for his attacking batting, clever bowling and sensational fielding

Interestingly, when the UAE hosted the first half of the IPL 2014, Maxwell, who was playing for KXIP then also, was the most successful batsman in that part as he scored 300 runs in just five matches (average 60.00), including three fifties.  He finished that IPL tournament as the third most run-scorer (552 runs) while his team finished as the runners-up, their best IPL results till the date. Maxwell won the Most Valuable Player award in that IPL edition.

  1. Sunil Narine

IPL 2021 Salary – Rs.12.5 Crore
IPL 2021 Team – Kolkata Knight Riders

Windies’ mystery spinner Narine is an asset to KKR because he can open both bowling and batting. He got the ability to pick a bulk of his wickets while bowling the death overs as well as stem the flow of runs in the middle overs.

Narine is equally useful with the bat as he can provide solid start to his side with his swashbuckling batting in the powerplay overs and he can even provide impetus at the back end of the innings.

  1. Ben Stokes

IPL 2021 Salary – Rs.12.5 Crore
IPL 2021 Team – Rajasthan Royals
Total IPL Salary – Rs.52 crore

England cricketer Ben Stokes is inarguably the best all-rounder in the world cricket at present. The 29-year-old has been scintillating form since the last year as he has helped England win miraculous games from impossible situations including 2019 World Cup and an Ashes game.

A wicket-taker, natural match-winner with the willow in hand and a freak fielder, Stokes is indeed a complete all-rounder.
