IPL 2021: Chennai Super Kings have fun with football drills, Narayan Jadadeesan gets spanked – Watch: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) players are all set to play Rajasthan Royals in their next game after defeating Punjab Kings comprehensively in their last match. While preparing for the next encounter, team physio Tommy Simsek decided to get some of his players involved in a lighter and funnier drill.
This one involved players passing a football to each other. Apparently, Narayan Jagadeesan committed a foul when his arms touched the ball. The punishment for the CSK players was getting spanked on the calf by all the other participants.
Those who inflicted this punishment included the big South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi, New Zealander Mitchell Santner, and Simsek himself. You can watch the clip right here:

More about Narayan Jagadeesan of CSK
Narayan Jagadeesan is an opening batsman for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket. In the Vijay Hazare trophy recently, he scored a hundred against Punjab but then, failed to get a half-century despite getting starts in his next four innings.
So far, he hasn’t got a game in IPL 2021 but he did play five matches last season. However, he could only score 33 runs in them. But with Ruturaj Gaikwad having failed in the first two matches, one wonders whether Jagadeesan is in for another chance.
Lungi Ngidi and Mitchell Santner’s position in the squad
Lungi Ngidi and Mitchell Santner too won’t find it easy to get in the CSK side. With the success of Deepak Chahar and the all-round qualities of Sam Curran, there is no need to rock the boat. But if Shardul Thakur doesn’t succeed as the third seamer, Lungi may get a chance.
Mitchell Santner is a very accurate bowler but CSK already have two such spinners in the playing XI – Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja. Interestingly, all three men are all-rounders and capable with the bat. But Santner is unlikely to play in the near future, unless an injury intervenes.
