IPL 2021: Dhoni super-impressed with Raina’s book ‘Believe’ – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have begun their preparations for the upcoming IPL 2021 Phase 2, with a host of their players currently in UAE for the pre-season training camp. The MS Dhoni-led franchise will be hoping to continue their form from Phase 1 and perhaps deliver a fourth IPL crown in their history. And while the veteran went through the drills to get back into his shape, he took some time off to read teammate Suresh Raina’s memoir ‘Believe’.

Chennai Super Kings took to social media on Sunday, to share an image of MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina as they cooled down in the dressing room. The former Indian captain smiled for the camera as he posed with Suresh Raina’s book, titled Believe: What Life and Cricket Taught Me. Raina, who also posed with the CSK skipper released the memoir in May earlier this year, has been co-written by journalist Bharat Sundaresan and was published by Penguin Random House India.

In the book, the former Indian batsman mentions the many learnings he gathered from senior Indian cricketers like Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, all of which helped him on and off the field. Raina was visibly delighted with his captain going through the chapters of his career, captioning the post as “Thala’s touch on my untold story.” Incidentally, MS Dhoni’s biopic, which cast the late Sushant Singh Rajput as the lead, was also titled MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Suresh Raina’s adulation for MS Dhoni is well known and the duo share a great bond on and off the pitch. In fact, the elegant left-hander announced his retirement from international cricket on the same day as the former India captain and has vouched to do the same if Dhoni decides to quit CSK after IPL 2021 Phase 2. Both Raina and Dhoni have been teammates in all of CSK’s years in the IPL, but the upcoming second leg in UAE could be the last time fans can see the duo in action together.
