In MS Dhoni’s biopic – M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story – we got to see that MS Dhoni was a follower and a huge fan of football. In fact he used to play football in his school days but his coach asked him to join cricket instead. Dhoni also participated in numerous all-star football matches which saw cricketers and Bollywood stars get together for a good cause, usually played in Mumbai.
IPL 2021: However, Shreyas Iyer was the other Indian cricketer who is in love with football. He seemed unstoppable according to Ranveer Singh, who to pull him to stop him.

Ranveer Singh posted on Instagram, “I was even injured at the time, but I worked through the pain in the hope that as a reward for my sincere efforts, I would be granted a chance to briefly meet MSD and maybe get a photo with him. When I finally met him, I was completely awestruck. He was so humble, so down-to-earth, full of grace, and exuded an unmistakable aura of kindness. My love, respect, and reverence for him grew even stronger.”

IPL 2021: Earlier on Sunday, IPL 2021 phase 2 scheduled was announced by BCCI where MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on arch-rivals Mumbai Indians in the first game. While the Rohit Sharma vs MS Dhoni will kick off the IPL 2021 Phase 2 in Dubai, the city will also host the first qualifier on October 10. Sharjah will host the eliminator and 2nd qualifier on October 11 and 13, respectively as per the BCCI release.
