IPL 2021 CSK vs RR: Robin Uthappa’s son looks cute and ready for cricket in CSK jersey as father prepares for Rajasthan Royals – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Robin Uthappa’s son is all geared up to support his team when they face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 13th match of IPL 2021 at Wankhede Stadium on Monday.

CSK uploaded a photo of junior Uthappa wearing the CSK jersey as well as pads and holding a cricket bat in a perfect pose. A television set, apparently the one on which he will watch CSK later today, is in front of him.

Junior Cub Nolan ku #WhistlePodu #Yellove,” the Twitter handle of CSK said along with the picture.

While his son may be ready, Robin Uthappa has been trying to get back into the CSK playing XI this season. Once regarded as the future leader of India’s batting, the supremely talented Uthappa didn’t live up to the expectations in the international circuit. But he remains a very important player in the IPL arena, albeit with a diminished role now.

The picture was first uploaded by Robin Uthappa himself on his Instagram handle and had the following text attached to it: “the IPL mood our @nealenolanuthappa Thanks @parasjuny for his @sgcricketofficial gear. He loves it. Carries it everywhere he goes!!”

So far in IPL 2021, Chennai have gone in with the opening combination of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis. The 3-time former champions also decided to promote the mercurial Moeen Ali to the no. 3 position and keep their most prolific batsman, Suresh Raina, at no. 4. This order is likely to persist now with a victory coming CSK’s way in the last game.

The problem for a batsman like Robin Uthappa – on the fringes of the team – is that there are three all-rounders in the team – Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, and Dwayne Bravo. This has reduced the number of specialist batsman in the team. Still, Uthappa would be hoping his turn does come, at some stage in the season.
