IPL 2021 DC vs RR: Sanju Samson thanks Jos Bhai for his help during Rajasthan Royals’ victory over Delhi Capitals – After their breathtaking victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are riding high. But their captain Sanju Samson is keeping his feet firmly on the ground and is crediting teammate Jos Buttler for his advice during the match.

In a video uploaded by RR’s social media handles, the Royals are addressed by Kumar Sangakkara and Sanju Samson in their dressing room after the match. The most interesting reaction came from the captain who struck a note of humility and thanked Jos Buttler for his advice, that too in a very Indian way.

“I was able to make some very good decisions that were only possible because Jos bhai really helped me. The communication was there,” Buttler reacted with a big smile.

Samson had scored a brilliant century in RR’s first game but it ended up on the losing side. In the match against DC, he made a big impression early on when he took a magnificent catch. This time though, the effort of the skipper ended on the winning side.

But in the post-match meeting, Samson was far from triumphant but totally grounded.

“In the last game, the five meters made the difference, and today also, the last three to four balls made the difference at that moment.  I think this will keep on happening. The thing which is in our hands is to keep these smiles going, keep this atmosphere going throughout the tournament, no matter what,” the young RR captain told his teammates.

He also struck a cautionary note: “It’s very easy to go down when things are not going good. I think the right character comes out when things are not going good and we keep on the trust, and keep on the belief in each and everyone.”

Kumar Sangakkara commended the captain for the leadership he showed and asked his team to play positively.

RR play their next match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 19. With one win and one loss, Royals have made a balanced start to the tournament.
