IPL 2021: Good News! Rabada and Anrich Nortje will be available for DC vs RR- Delhi Capitals fast bowling coach, James Hopes has confirmed that Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje will miss the IPL 2021 opener due to a week-long quarantine, but the duo will be available for the second match (DC vs RR). Rishabh Pant-led DC will begin their IPL 2021 campaign MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Wankhede Stadium on April 10. They will play their second match against Rajasthan Royals after a gap of 4 days, i.e., on April 15.

“The Fast Bowling Coach is chuffed with the options he has this year. A returning James Hopes talks about DC’s pace battery, @rickyponting, @SteveSmith49 and more,” tweeted DC. 

Kagiso Rabada and Anrich are two crucial pacers in the Delhi Capitals lineup. While Rabada emerged as the highest wicket-taker in IPL last year, Nortje picked 22 wickets in 16 appearances. The duo left their national team after playing the second ODI against Pakistan on April 5. They joined the DC team hotel after landing in Mumbai on the next day.

Besides Rabada and Nortje, DC also have key pacers like Chris Woakes is likely to play in the opening match. They will have to choose between Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Tom Curran among seamers in the opening fixture.
