In a tweet post, the wicket-keeper batsman said, “I am supporting the Hemkunt Foundation through a monetary donation that will help provide O2 cylinders with beds, COVID-relief kits and much more to those suffering across the country. I am especially keen to work with organizations providing medical aid and support to rural India and non-metro cities, which do not have the capacity of medical infrastructure than that of the major cities.”
The 23-year-old is expected to continue his top run with the Indian Cricket Team when India faces New Zealand in the ICC WTC Final at The Rose Bowl in Southampton, England beginning June 18. India will also play a 5-match Test series in England.
Earlier this year, Pant helped India defeat Australia in their backyard and retain Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He has already scored 500+ runs and would like to amass over 500+ runs in the upcoming Test matches.
Pant recently took Delhi Capitals to the top of the IPL 2021 by registering 6 wins out of 8 matches in his maiden outing as skipper.
