IPL 2021: DC’s Shikhar Dhawan receives 1st jab of COVID-19 vaccine, how to apply for vaccination; check- India and Delhi Capitals opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan on Wednesday received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. “Vaccinated. Can’t thank all our frontline warriors enough for their sacrifices and dedication. Please do not hesitate and get yourself vaccinated as soon as possible. It’ll help us all defeat this virus,” he said in a tweet post.

The vaccine has been made available to 18+ citizens by various state governments. Earlier, it was only available for frontline workers and senior citizens, which was later reduced to 45+ age groups. In order to register for the vaccination, you can follow the simple steps to receive the jab by heading to COWIN.gov.in and follow the steps like registering your mobile number.

It is notable that the vaccine needs to be taken twice with a gap of 28 days. Please go through instructions as mild symptoms are likely to occur.

Earlier, BCCI was questioned on various instance on the vaccine jab for India cricketers.

BCCI President in a recent interview made it clear that the players can receive the vaccine dose easily as the state governments are offering vaccination for all 18+ citizens.

The vaccination of players will ensure they will not be vulnerable for the remaining part of IPL 2021 and the upcoming T20 World Cup.

It is notable that multiple COVID-19 cases in as many as four IPL franchises led to the suspension of the IPL 2021. The tournament is likely to be staged in September later this year.
