IPL 2021: Deepika Padukone’s decade old Tweet goes viral after RCB were staggered for 92 runs against KKR: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced the heat of the criticisms after they faced a humiliating defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by nine wickets on Monday. Virat Kohli led had a dismal show with the bat where they were wrapped up for 92 runs during their innings in Abu Dhabi. As the red brigade faced backlashing, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s decade-old Tweet resurfaced.

92!!is that even a score!? Way to go RCB! with u guys all the way…watching every second of it live!” Deepika had tweeted back then in 2010.

However, in that game RCB led by Anil Kumble had defeated Rajasthan Royals in 2010. The contest at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore saw the rise of Praveen Kumar and Anil Kumble who picked up three wickets each and bowled the Royals out for 92.

This time, however, it was RCB who were bowled out on 92.

RCB skipper Virat Kohli disappointed with teams’ performance

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli sounded very disappointed with the batting collapse against Kolkata Knight Riders. According to Kohli, the failure against KKR was a wake-up call for his side. Electing to bat, RCB were all out for a paltry 92 in Kohli’s 200th IPL game. KKR chased down the target in 10 overs. Kohli rued the team’s mistakes in the opening match of IPL Phase 2.

“We were 42 odd for one and then lost about five wickets within 20 runs, which is a very difficult situation to come back from. Bit of a collapse there for us, bit of a wake-up call and might as well have this at the start of the second leg so that we know exactly what we need to work on,” Kohli said in the post-match press conference.
