He was suffering from injury and was likely to miss the 2nd phase of the IPL but he recovered from the injury and is all set to play in IPL’s UAE leg.

Delhi Capitals’ official Twitter handle posted a video of Smith sweating it out in the nets with the caption,” Hopefully we can keep playing some really good cricket, and be there right at the business end.” Smudge is all set to roar in #IPL2021 and we can’t keep calm #YehHaiNayiDilli #CapitalsUnplugged @OctaFX @stevesmith49.”
IPL 2021: “My point of view is I am really fortunate to be able to play the second half of the IPL. We are playing some really good cricket. Getting the results we are off to. Looking forward to it and obviously Delhi sitting at the right spot in the points table. Hopefully, we can keep playing some really good cricket, and be there right at the business end,” Smith said in the video.
Delhi Capitals are right at the top of the points table after winning six games out of eight.
IPL 2021: “We have to pick up from where we left off. We were playing some really good cricket, getting the results we were after. And I think we can do even better so we should be playing our best cricket in the back end of the tournament. You have to play well enough to get to the final, but hopefully, we can play our best cricket in the final,” said Steve Smith in a Delhi Capitals release.
