Delhi Capitals – Shreyas Iyer
Former Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer, who was injured during the first phase of the IPL 2021, will want to start phase 2 of the cash-rich league on high. His team is ranked 1st in the points table with six wins in eight games. However, his form will be crucial for his side as there is a lack of experience in the middle order. Iyer scored 519 runs in IPL 2020 where DC reached the final.
Royal Challengers Bangalore – Yuzvendra Chahal
RCB’s Yuzvendra Chahal, who was struggling with form in the first phase of the IPL 2021 where he could only pick four wickets in seven games, will want to come back in form for the second phase. The leg spinner was also not picked by the BCCI in the national team for the ICC T20 World Cup. Yuzvendra Chahal will want to prove a point in IPL 2021 phase 2.
Chennai Super Kings – MS Dhoni
Former India captain MS Dhoni could only score 37 runs in seven games for CSK in the first phase of the IPL 2021. However, his team is in blistering form as they are ranked 2nd in the points table. CSK will want MS Dhoni to get back in form and help the side reach another playoff this year.
Mumbai Indians – Hardik Pandya
One of India’s premier all-rounders Hardik Panya was struggling with form in the first phase of the IPL 2021. After recovering from the back injury Hardik could not perform up to the mark. In the recently concluded Sri Lanka series he failed to perform. The all-rounder will aim to get back in form with the bat and with the ball.
Rajasthan Royals – David Miller
Rajasthan Royals are struggling to find winning ways in IPL 2021 phase 1, after a break they will want to start the season on high. David Miller is one player they can count on. Miller scored 102 runs in six games so far for Rajasthan Royals. RR is ranked fifth in the points table with just three wins in seven games. David Miller is the player who can change RR’s fortune.
Punjab Kings – Nicholas Pooran
Nicholas Pooran had one of the most disastrous seasons in the first phase of the IPL 2021, where he scored four ducks in seven games. Pooran could only score 27 runs in the entire first phase. However, Pooran has shown a glimpse of form in CPL 2021.
Kolkata Knight Riders – Kuldeep Yadav
Team India and KKR’s chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav was not even given a single chance to play in IPL 2021. Kuldeep only played five matches in IPL 2020 where he picked just one wicket. Once a regular member of the T20 side, Kuldeep was also not picked by BCCI for the ICC T20 World Cup. Kuldeep will want to bounce back in IPL 2021 phase 2.
Sunrisers Hyderabad – T Natrajan
T Natrajan rose to the limelight in 2020 when he picked 16 wickets in 16 matches. However, in 2021 he struggled due to injury and could only play two matches in the season where he picked two wickets. Natrajan was another name in contention for selection in Team India for T20 World Cup. However, he was not picked and he will want to prove a point by performing in IPL 2021 phase 2.
