IPL 2021 Phase 2: Indigo captain welcomes Mumbai Indians stars with cheeky message en route Abu Dhabi; Watch video – Mumbai Indians are all set to begin their preparations for IPL 2021 Phase 2 as they head to Abu Dhabi. The defending champions, along with arch-rivals CSK are one of the first teams to land in the UAE with the cash-rich tournament just a month away from kicking off. On their way to the Gulf county, Mumbai Indians got a special message from the flight captain while on their journey.

IPL 2021 Phase 2: Mumbai Indians squad boarded a flight to UAE from Mumbai on Saturday at 7 AM IST. While on board, the flight captain gave the squad instructions to follow while updating them on the weather conditions. The instructions were delivered in cheeky style, with the captain delivering them in Mumbai Indians style.

IPL 2021 Phase 2: The captain said that despite the rains early morning they managed to get a quick start just like how Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma do so for the team. Further instructions followed and the captain informed that they would reach the destination in about 45 mins, giving Kieron Pollard enough time to score yet another century.

IPL 2021 Phase 2: He informed of the weather forecast after reaching Abu Dhabi which were a representation of Jasprit Bumrah’s calmness in the Super Over during a 2017 game against KKR.  He further added that they attempt to land as soon as possible in Abu Dhabi, but couldn’t beat Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan’s record for the fastest half-centuries. He ended it by wishing the team the very best for the second phase of the tournament and concluded that it was an honour to have them on board.
