Four new players joined Mumbai Indians (MI) recently, the franchise confirmed via Twitter post. Ishan Kishan, Piyush Chawla, Chris Lynn and Nathan Coulter Nile were the ones to join the MI camp. Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening match of IPL 2021 on April 9 at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai.

Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardena is expected to join the team by the end of this week.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians players Rohit Sharma, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, SuryaKumar Yadav are expected to join the squad via bubble-to-bubble transfer.
MI pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah is on a break for personal reasons. New Zealand players Trent Boult, James Neesham and Adam Milne are playing the limited-overs series against Bangladesh.
The five-time champions will kick off their training camp in Chennai next week. “We are still in Mumbai for now. Will move to Chennai by next week,” a MI source told InsideSport.
“Players are still arriving and are in quarantine. Those who have completed the seven-day isolation have begun training. But many of Mumbai Indians players are still busy with national duties, so we are just waiting for them before moving to Chennai,” the source added.
