On this day, the focus is on the issues pertaining to families around the world as well as pay attention to the social, economic and demographic aspects of the same

Sunrisers Hyderabad were the first one to wish cricket fans on the day with a Tweet. SRH wrote,” Thinking of our extended family on #InternationalDayofFamilies 🧡 #StayHome and #StaySafe, #OrangeArmy! #OrangeOrNothing #SRH.”

SRH posted a photo of their fans with the I love Sunirsers flag in the hand.

Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals also whished fans. RR posted a tweet on their official account. “To our family beyond the dressing room, to all our fans, 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂. Kolkata Knight Riders posted photos of Dinesh Kartik, Pat Cummins and Shubhman Gill with their families and a photo of the KKR team. “Today, on #InternationalDayOfFamilies, we urge you to #StayHome and spend some quality time with your families #KKR #StayHomeStaySafe,” KKR wrote on Twitter.

International Day of Families

The Day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1993 with resolution and reflects the importance the international community attaches to families. The International Day provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting families.
