IPL 2021: The Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) is all set for its first-ever midweek doubleheader as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the second game of the day at Wankhede.
Ahead of the marquee KKR vs CSK clash, KKR skipper Eoin Morgan revealed insights into his captaincy style. The England international who took over the reins from Dinesh Karthik halfway through last season (IPL 2020) said it’s more important to build trust than gaining authority as a captain.
Speaking in a video posted by the KKR franchise on their official Twitter handle, Morgan was quoted as saying, ” The best version of myself is just to be myself. Every captain operates in their own way but when the word authority is associated with captain it makes me laugh.”
” It’s more important to build trust, be a good leader. If you can do that, then it allows you to impart some knowledge to guide the team and that’s what I’ll be trying to do,” he added.
Any guess who will be stamping their authority tonight?

KKR vs CSK, IPL 2021: Sunil Narine IN, Shakib Al Hasan Out in KKR’s Playing XI
KKR vs CSK, IPL 2021: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have hit a rough patch after winning the first match of IPL 2021. They lost to Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. Now, Eoin Morgan’s KKR will begin the Mumbai leg with the aim to turn things around.
Their first opponent will be MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Wednesday and they will need to make changes to the Playing XI to have any chance. The obvious change in the Playing XI is set to be Sunil Narine’s inclusion, dropping Shakib Al Hasan. Even KKR coach Brendon McCullum hinted at his return.
