Ganguly, who is now serving as the BCCI president, talked of how he made a comeback to Indian cricket after things looked totally deserted.
In the clip, Ganguly said, “When I was left out in 2005, I was the captain and has problems with coach Greg Chappell. Nobody gave me a chance to come back. Everyone, even my dad at home used to tell me every once in a week, ‘just forget it,’ you have played enough, you have played 300 ODI’s and 80 odd Test matches. I don’t think you will play again. And still came back and played after six months and played the best cricket in the last 17 months. Now all I want to say in this is, why I’m trying to say this is you never know what’s in store. And I firmly believe that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
