In a recent interview, IPL 2021’s highest-paid player, Chris Morris opened about his personal life, high-price tag in the cash-rich league and passion for cricket.

Speaking to Cricbuzz, Morris said that he’ll be under pressure to perform in IPL 2021.

Speaking about his high price tag, Morris opined that everyone wants to be paid as much as their bosses allow.

“The IPL is probably as stressful as international cricket because you’ve got the eyes of the world watching you. You’re under pressure to perform,” Morris told Cricbuzz.

When the cricketer was questioned about the amount of money he will receive for few weeks in IPL, he said, “There are people who’ve been earning a lot more than me for the last couple of years.”

Speaking about his father, Morris said, “He would come back from a long day at work and gather up the energy to hit balls to me, as a youngster, so I could catch them,” Cricbuzz quoted him as saying.

“It doesn’t matter who I’m playing for, I try to win every single game I play,” Morris told the sports website.

Morris has so far played 42 ODIs, 23 T20Is and four Tests for South Africa. The cricketer had last played for RCB who tried to buy him back but eventually lost the all-rounder in a fierce bidding war once the price went above Rs 10 crore.

Morris has so far earned Rs 59.1 crore in IPL. Read more
