The incident left the cricket fans in laughter as MS Dhoni had to go searching for the ball in the bushes after smashing a powerful during the net practice session.

CSK posted a minute and a half long video on its official social media account that captioned, “Dhoni’s Sixes Handshake🏻 Our love for Thala Out of bounds#WhistlePodu #Yellove Lion faceYellow heart @msdhoni”
MS Dhoni ball search: The clip featured MS Dhoni smashing a barrage of huge sixes during the training session. Right from hitting sixes over the bowlers head to clearing the boundary over mid-on and deep mid-wicket, Dhoni displayed a variety of shots from his willow. Dhoni’s intensity of batting was so high that his teammates praised his over ropes shots as he hit them.
Another hilarious incident that caught the attention was Dhoni’s response after he was returning from the net practice. “Hum bhi chaar bol ke chodah khele the” (I came to bat saying I will play four balls but ended up playing fourteen deliveries) Dhoni said.
After the ball had been smashed out of the bounds from Dhoni’s willow, he along with the CSK teammates went around searching the ball. This was a very unusual sight as the teams are loaded with ample balls to undertake practices. However, after an intense hunt for the ball, Dhoni and the boys returned with the ball in hand.

MS Dhoni ball search: At the twilight of his career, MS Dhoni isn’t the same batsman he used to be. His struggles without match practice were real in both IPL 2020 and IPL 2021 and it’s no different this time either. In IPL 2020, he scored only 200 runs at an average of 25.00 while his strike rate went down to 116.27. In IPL 2021, in seven matches, he managed just 12.33 average with a strike rate of 123.33.
With the IPL 2021 resuming on September 19, Thala Dhoni will be eager to smash some out of the park and is preparing well to do so. CSK were the first team to arrive in the UAE with Dhoni beginning practice immediately after ending quarantine.

MS Dhoni-led side came back strongly in the IPL 2021 and is ranked second in the league standings after the end of phase 1.
CSK will kick off its IPL 2021 phase 2 against Mumbai Indians in Dubai and would be looking to continue its dominance.
