IPL 2021: Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma thinks postponing IPL is a very good decision- The IPL 2021 has been postponed amid the rising cases of COVID-19 in India. The decision was taken by the BCCI and IPL governing council on Tuesday. Even though the decision costs franchises fortunes almost all of them have welcomed the call. Five-time champions Mumbai Indians posted a video on Instagram to back the decision taken by the cricket’s apex body in the country.

In the video captain, Rohit Sharma praised the Board of control for cricket India’s (BCCI) decision to suspend IPL 2021.

Rohit said,” Hi guys, it is unfortunate that the tournament has been postponed. In the light of everything that is happening around the country, I think it’s a very good decision.”

MI’s lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah said,” It is unfortunate that the tournament had to stop mid-way. But I think it was in everyone’s best interest to take care of everyone’s safety and well-being.”

IPL 2021 Suspended

The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season, with immediate effect on Tuesday. The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organising the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health and wellbeing of all the stakeholders in mind. The BCCI has admitted that it will do everything in its powers to arrange for the secure and safe passage of all the participants in IPL 2021.
