The trio are set to undergo a 7-day quarantine at the team hotel. “National duties to IPL duties. The trio has landed in Chennai! As per BCCI’s SOPs for IPL 2021, all players (except for those from the India-England series), support staff, and management entering the bubble need to undergo a seven-day quarantine in their hotel rooms.

Every individual will be tested multiple times during this period, and upon returning the negative results, they will be allowed to come out of their rooms and commence outdoor training and practice sessions.

Mumbai Indians will kick off their IPL campaign against RCB on April 9 in the season opener.

They will play their opening leg matches (5) in Chennai.

The MI nucleus does not just revolve around skipper Rohit but also has some quality performers in Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Kieron Pollard.

Even though the Mumbai-based franchise has won the title on five occasions — 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020 — the side is yet to make it three consecutive titles in a row and that would definitely be added motivation for Rohit’s boys.
