IPL 2021 Orange Cap Contenders: Just few days left for India’s cricketing festival, the Indian Premier League (IPL) to begin. Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the season opener on April 9 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Besides, the team battles there will be individual wars that would ensue during the two-month tournament. One of the most exciting and fierce individual battles is for the IPL Orange Cap. The top contenders in the race for Orange cups are Suresh Raina (CSK), Shubman Gill (KKR), KL Rahul (Punjab Kings), Shikhar Dhawan (DC), David Warner (SRH), Ben Stokes (RR), SuryaKumar Yadav (MI) and Virat Kohli (MI).

Suresh Raina (Chennai Super Kings)

One of the key batsmen in the Mumbai Indians lineup, SuryaKumar Yadav has the potential to change the outcome of the match. He is in the prime form of his career, smashing a fifty on debut for India against England.

David Warner (Sunrisers Hyderabad)

Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman David Warner is one of the five batsmen who have completed 5,000 runs in IPL. He often scores 500+ runs in IPL which means him a front-runner for the race to Orange cap.

Shikhar Dhawan (Delhi Capitals)

Only a few people know that Shikhar Dhawan has the most fours in IPL. He has also completed the milestone of 5,000 runs in the cash-rich league. He was the second-highest run-scorers in IPL 2021, scoring 618 runs in 17 matches.
