IPL 2021: Punjab Kings’ Chris Gayle fly back home, posts photos – The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took a much-needed decision to postpone the IPL 2021 amid the rising case of COVID-19 in India. The foreign, as well as the Indian players, are returning to their home. Punjab Kings batsman Chris Gayle AKA Universe Boss Thursday posted a photo on his Instagram story from a flight, which indicates that Chris is travelling to his home town, Jamaica. 

In a series of videos and photos posted by Chris, one can see clouds through the flight window while in the next video Gayle can be seen on a speed boat.

In one of the story video, Chris wrote, ” Life yah now!.”

While in the next video Chris wrote,” Sea can’t swim.”

In the very next video that Chris posted you can see some people on the side of the shore waiting for Chris’ arrival. On this video, Chris wrote,” Arrival at its best.”

Chris Gayle in IPL 2021

The West Indian power-hitter was going through a decent IPL as he had scored 178 runs in eight games at a strike rate of 133.83. His highest score in IPL 2021 was 46 which came in a winning cause. The southpaw had hit 8 sixes and 20 fours in this year’s IPL. 

IPL 2021 Suspended

The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season, with immediate effect on Tuesday. The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organising the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health and wellbeing of all the stakeholders in mind. The BCCI has admitted that it will do everything in its powers to arrange for the secure and safe passage of all the participants in IPL 2021.
