The all-rounder had played a key role in the previous edition of the IPL. He scored 255 runs at an average of 42.5 and scalped 10 wickets in 14 IPL matches last season. His economy rate of 7.13 run-per-over in his entire IPL career stands out among other RR players.
Rahul Tewatia continued his top performance in the domestic tournaments— Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophy. It helped him earn a maiden T20 call in the national squad against England but did not get a place in XI. Hopefully, his chance will come ahead of the T20 World Cup. He needs to continue his performance in IPL 2021 to continue to be a part of India’s T20 setup.
RR are currently practising at the Cricket Club of India (CCI). They will begin their IPL 2021 campaign against Kings XI Punjab at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on April 12.
