IPL 2021 – Rajasthan Royals star Rahul Tewatia gets engaged: Rahul Tewatia had become a household name in IPL 2020 after his heroics against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), where he hit five sixes in Sheldon Cottrell’s over. And now, he has moved on to yet another event in life. The Haryana-born got engaged to Ridhi on February 3 and was attended by cricketer and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) player Nitish Rana. The wedding date is yet to be announced.
Tewatia was retained by KKR ahead of the IPL auctions. He had a scintillating form last season and plundered 255 runs at an average 42.50. He also scored his runs at a strike rate of nearly 140 to stamp his authority in the IPL. He also scalped 10 wickets at an economy rate of 7.09 runs per over.
He has been part of IPL since 2013 and has played for as many as three teams. He started his career with Rajasthan, and then moved on to Kings XI Punjab in 2017. He was then bought by Delhi Capitals, after which he was re-signed by RR in 2020.
Owing to his performance last season, he will be an exciting player to watch out for the upcoming season.
