IPL 2021: Rashid Khan tries ‘Helicopter Shot’ while playing Golf, Kevin Pietersen demands ‘Switch Hit’ – Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), shared a video where he can be seen playing Helicopter Shot while playing Golf. Watching Rashid play ‘Helicopter Shot’ former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen, who is quite an avid golf player, asked him to play the ‘Switch Hit’.

SRH leg-spinner, who loves batting and have won matches for his side with the bat, posted a 10-second video of himself playing golf on Monday. Rashid wrote the caption, “Have you tried 🚁 in Golf 🏌️‍♂️ #fun.” Commenting on the video Pietersen wrote,” Switch hit ???.” England Cricketer Danielle Wyatt commented with three laughing emojis.

Helicopter Shot was made famous by former India captain MS Dhoni, however, Mohammad Azharuddin played the first-ever helicopter shot against South Africa in 1990 at Eden Gardens. While Switch Hit is usually attributed to Kevin Pietersen. Pietersen played the shot for the first time off Muttiah Muralitharan in a test match against Sri Lanka in May 2006 and used it again on 15 June 2008 in a one-day international against New Zealand.

Rashid will be representing Sussex Sharks in the Vitality T20 Blast. Khan headed to London from Dubai on July 1 and will complete the hotel quarantine as are the rules in England before donning the jersey.

Rashid will also be taking part in the inaugural edition of The Hundred. He will be playing for Trent Rockets along with Joe Root, Dawid Malan and Wahab Riaz.
