However, following their dismissal, Shardul Thakur and Dwayne Bravo tightened things up as the pitch slowed down considerably, to restrict RCB to just 156 in their 20 overs, with Virat Kohli and Co. managing just 45 runs in their last six overs.

IPL 2021 CSK beat RCB – RCB’s Most Shameful Record: In response, CSK openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis went hard at the new ball and stitched a vital partnership with their respective 30s. Cameos from Moeen Ali, Ambati, Rayudu and Suresh Raina saw them over the line, while captain MS Dhoni also chipped in with a couple of boundaries in the end.
